Alright it's my 276th color commission and what a surprise, it's another LAMA picture but this time with a special character as this time it's Mami Tomoe in LAMA gear from the Peulla Magi Madoka Magica. Yep after all this time we get another character from the Madoka series and is the fourth chacter that gets to wear LAMA gear and from what I've heard this is Bogi's favorite character from the series so it's nice of her to be in LAMA gear like the rest ^^
Now not everything is scuba based as we see her with some morning tea getting some energy in her as diving does take a lot of energy out of people as she dives happily in...with her big tails kind of being squeezed in it seems. I mean it's a lot better than Kyoko Sakura's where she had to shorten her hair and at least Mami's hair...somewhat fits in but I'm guessing she doesn't fully mind it seems. Fun fact about the LAMA gear is that the glass used in the bubble helmet is very strong that a person hit the helmet with a sludge hammer full force and the glass remains perfectly fine, not even a crack or a dent was made. So in a way the LAMA bubble helmet can be like a shield or at the very least protects the head. After all it's kind of handy of let's say a creaturing appearing out of no where and goes for the head...and yes I made that 7 year old joke and I'm not sorry
Coloring was unique this time around as unlike the other Madoka characters that were in LAMA gear before I was specially told that Mami isn't in her magical girl form but rather her regular form this time around. As you could see, her hair pins are different, the wetsuit doesn't match her magical girl outfit and is unique and the color of her hair is slightly darker than her magical girl form. Not against it at all but it does feel a bit weird to have everyone else have their LAMA gear be based on the magical girl forms and not Mami. Just saying Still because it's her normal form I was able to get a bit more creative with the colors on her wetsuit, gloves, and gear and yes this technically is the first LAMA picture that I've colored where the zipper is in the front and not the back which again feels a bit weird to me. But don't worry, I still gave the LAMA gear the orange color as that's what her jewel color was.
That's really it. I did say that this picture came as a surprise especially during the time where coloring was a lot harder for me to do now than it was before. Then this picture should up which gave me the confidence to color this at the very least despite my problems and I do feel a bit better. Sure coloring still makes my heart feels like someone is pulling it but at least it's not too bad for me to stop coloring. I'm just glad that I was given the chance to color this and I'm glad that it came out well. Thanks Bogi. You helpped me out a lot ^^
